Workshop on Computational Software in Chemistry – Chemistry Dept.

One Day Workshop was organized by the PG and Research Department of Chemistry on 20.03.2024 from 10.00 am to 02.00 pm on the topic “Computational Software in Chemistry” in Smart Hall, Kamaraj College. Dr. P. Vijaya, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Rani Anna College for Women, Tirunelveli acted as the Resource person of the program. The program started with Tamilthai Vazhthu. The program commenced with a welcome address by Miss. K. Meenakshi of II M.Sc., and the resource person introductory was done by Miss. S. Annite Bency of I M.Sc. Our Head of the Department, Dr. N. Chandra Lekha, honoured the resource person with a shawl and momento. Dr.P. Vijaya demonstrated the different computational software programs like Chemsketch, Argus Lab, Docking etc.
The session was highly interactive and informative finally resource person engaged with the students by asking questions and clarifying their doubts. Our department PG students participated and gained knowledge about Computational chemistry. Miss. M. Ragavi from II M.Sc., delivers the vote of thanks and the entire program was effectively anchored by our department students council members. The National Anthem marked the end of the successful program.
