The Department of Placement & Training in collaboration with the Kamaraj Quiz Club successfully conducted an exciting inter-departmental quiz competition titled “Quizophoria 2025” at Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi. This thrilling academic event took place on August 6, 2025, from 01:30 PM to 03:00 PM at the Seminar Hall of AMMS Ganesan Nadar Block.
The event aimed to encourage critical thinking, knowledge application, and team-based problem-solving among students, while also boosting their confidence and communication skills. It served as a vibrant platform for young minds to test their intellectual mettle in a fun and competitive setting.
Strong Participation from Diverse Departments
A total of 42 enthusiastic teams participated in the preliminary round of Quizophoria, representing various undergraduate departments. The preliminary round was designed to be both challenging and engaging, comprising questions from fields such as general knowledge, current affairs, science, literature, and logical reasoning.
Out of these 42 teams, 6 outstanding teams were shortlisted to compete in the final round. The finalists engaged in an intense face-off, showcasing their quick thinking, presence of mind, and team coordination. The final round had multiple segments including rapid-fire, buzzer round, and audio-visual questions, which kept the audience energized and involved throughout.

The following students emerged as the proud winners of the competition:
- First Prize: Akshaya Preethi and Divya Dharshini – III BCA (Self-Financed)
- Second Prize: Kamalesh – II B.Sc. Computer Science (Aided)
- Third Prize: Mathesh Raja and Navin – III B.Sc. Physics (Aided)
