
Bridge Course for Aided Students
The English department (Aided) conducted the Bridge course for all the first year students from 4-8-22 to 18-8-22.The Bridge Course in English is conducted every year for newly admitted students before the commencement of the first semester classes by the Department of English. The main objective of the course is to bridge the gap between the English studied at Higher Secondary level and the English they would be studying in Graduation. The syllabus for the bridge course has been framed in such a way that they get basic knowledge of English that they would be learning through graduation. This two-week student enhancement and development programme is devised for overall grooming and enhancement of the students’ fraternity with a special punctuation for students from rural and semi rural community. A separate curriculum has been framed for Bridge Course in English. During the first week after the commencement of the classes, the bridge course curriculum was delivered to the students from various disciplines in two groups.( Arts and science) A post bridge course test was conducted after the completion of bridge course syllabus to assess the ability of the students. Suggestions and modifications were given to the students for improvisation.
