Alumni Interaction Program – Economics Dept.

The Department of Economics (SF) & Public Administration organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on 30th June 2025, aimed at inspiring students through real-life career insights and experiences.

The resource person for the session was Mr. E. Seenivasan, an Analyst at a Lathe Company in Coimbatore, and a proud alumnus of the department from the 2020–2023 batch. He was warmly welcomed back to his alma mater, where he addressed the current batch of students with an engaging and insightful talk.

During the session, Mr. Seenivasan shared his professional journey—from his time as a student to his current role in the industry. He spoke about the challenges he faced, the skills he developed, and the decisions that shaped his career. His talk offered valuable guidance on career planning, goal setting, and skill development, which resonated strongly with the students.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating, asking questions, and seeking advice on how to prepare for life after graduation. Mr. Seenivasan emphasized the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and self-confidence in navigating the professional world.

The lecture not only provided students with a glimpse into real-world work environments but also served as a source of motivation. It helped bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, encouraging students to think proactively about their future goals and career paths.

Overall, the alumni interaction was a great success, fostering a sense of connection and inspiration among the students and reinforcing the department’s commitment to career-oriented education.
