MICROFEST 26 – International Seminar and Intercollegiate Meet witnessed the active participation of students from the PG & Research Department of Microbiology, Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, on 18 September 2026. The programme was organised by the PG & Research Department of Microbiology, K.R. College of Arts & Science, Kovilpatti. A total of 13 students from Kamaraj College participated in various events and demonstrated their knowledge, creativity, confidence and teamwork.

MICROFEST 26 – International Seminar and Intercollegiate Meet

The participation in MICROFEST 26 provided students with an opportunity to interact and compete in an intercollegiate environment. The programme offered a platform for students to demonstrate both academic and creative abilities through different events. Participation also encouraged students to develop confidence, teamwork and a competitive spirit.

13 Students Represent Kamaraj College

A total of 13 students from the PG & Research Department of Microbiology represented Kamaraj College at the international seminar and intercollegiate meet. The students participated enthusiastically in the events and demonstrated their abilities before participants from other institutions. Their involvement provided valuable exposure beyond the classroom and encouraged them to apply their knowledge and skills in a competitive environment.

Second Prize in Turn Coat

K. John Anish Miranda of II B.Sc. Microbiology secured the Second Prize in Turn Coat at MICROFEST 26. The event provided an opportunity to demonstrate communication skills, confidence, quick thinking and the ability to present different perspectives effectively. His achievement brought recognition to the Department and reflected the importance of active participation in intercollegiate competitions.

Third Prize in Fireless Cooking

M. Navina and K. Maheswari of II M.Sc. Microbiology secured the Third Prize in Fireless Cooking. Their participation demonstrated creativity, teamwork, planning and effective coordination. The achievement added another prize to the Department’s performance at MICROFEST 26.

Intercollegiate Exposure
