World Environmental Day – NSS Units 54 & 56

The NSS unit No 54 & 56 of Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi celebrated the World Forest Day by creating an awareness programme on “World Environmental Day” along with more than 30 students volunteers on 5-6-23. The celebration began with the planting of mangroves at Seashores areas near Roche Park. The chief guest was the District Forest Officer Mr.Abishek Tomar.
Green champion awards were given to the students who actively involved themselves in carrying out the environmental awareness among the public. Consequently Poster and booklet were released by the District Collector. The program was successful and concluded with the vote of thanks .
