Workshop on Union Budget 2024: Evaluating Funding Allotment for Various Sectors – Economics Dept.

The Department of Economics (SF) has conducted a one day workshop on “Union Budget 2024: Evaluating Funding Allotment for Various Sectors” on 15th February 2024 at Seminar Hall (GJ Block), Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. This effort was made for the students of B.A Economics to develop their knowledge on the fundamentals of the Union Budget. The event was conveyed by Dr.S.Raman, Head of the Department, Dr.A.Arunachalarajan, Vice Principal of Kamaraj College honored the resource person. The welcome address was given by Mr. E. Vishwa, II B.A Economics student. The resource person was introduced by Dr. C.Mathimitha. The resource person for the session was Dr. (Lt.Cdr). A. Asok Vice- Principal & Head of Department – Economics, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. and the program was organized by students of B.A Economics. This Workshop session was attended by the students of B.A Economics with a total of 68 students.The resource person gave an in-depth analysis on the Union Budget of 2024, He spoke about various sectors such as Industries, Higher Education, Sustainable Development, etc. The resource person gave a detailed overview on the budget and implementation of new development schemes.At the end of the session, the students cleared their doubts with the resource person.The session concluded with the vote of thanks, that was given by M. Petchiammal, III B.A Economics student.
