Workshop on Sampling Techniques and their Effectiveness in Various Research Contexts – Commerce Dept.

On March 26th, 2024, a State level workshop titled “Sampling Techniques and their Effectiveness in Various Research Contexts” was organised by the Department of Commerce (SF). Dr. S. Jeya Ratna, Assistant Professor in Commerce, Wavoo Wajeeha College of Arts & Science, Kayalpatnam, Thoothukudi. She is an esteemed expert in research ethics, served as the keynote speaker. Dr. S. Jeya Ratna’s lecture focused on the fundamental principles of ethical research writing, highlighting the importance of Sampling, integrity, transparency, and responsibility throughout the research process. Attendees gained insights into ethical guidelines and frameworks governing research conduct, including the significance of obtaining informed consent, proper citation practices to avoid plagiarism, and maintaining data integrity and transparency in research findings. The lecture featured an interactive session where participants engaged in discussions and sought guidance on ethical decision-making in research. Overall, the guest lecture provided attendees with valuable insights and practical guidance to navigate ethical challenges in academic research, fostering a culture of integrity and responsibility in research writing endeavors. The total beneficiaries were 82 students.
