Workshop on Highlights of Budget 2025-26 – Economics & Public Administration Dept.

The Department of Economics (SF) & Public Administration at Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi, organized a one-day workshop on “Highlights of Budget 2025 -26 ” on February 24, 2025, at the Seminar Hall (GJ Block). This workshop aimed to help B.A. Economics and Public Administration students understand the key highlights of the Union Budget 2025.The event started with a welcome address by Dr. S. Raman, Head of the Economics SF, and he also introduced the resource person. Dr. Arunachala rajan , Vice Principal, Honoured the resource person Dr(Lt.Cdr).A. Asok, Vice Principal and Head of Economics, Kamaraj College. Dr. Asok gave a detailed talk on the Union Budget 2025, covering important areas such as:Tax changes, Budget allocation – Focus sectors – More funds were given to agriculture, small businesses, youth, and women. The session was interactive, and students asked many questions. The workshop ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. M. Chandra, Assistant Professor of Economics SF Department. The total number of students participants is 126 students.
