Ullas Confluence 2024 – English Dept.

On the 9th & 10th of March 2024, five TQI student volunteers from the PG & Research Department of English (SF) went to Chennai representing our college for the Ullas Confluence 2024. The Day I session began with some fun based activities followed by the speech of Mr. Ram Subramanian, the founder of the Talent Quest for India Trust. There was a discussion on Sustainability and Climatic Change. Later, they were inspired as well as motivated by the physically challenged speakers, Ms. Saraswathi and Mr. Veeramallu striking the note that each one is capable and has miles to achieve. The activity of the day was to work for a gallery walk, where our students made many interesting posters gaining the attention of the others which was explained by Muthumathi of II B.A. English. A Talent Show was conducted, T. Dhanush Kumar of II B.A. English sang a song. The day came to an end with the performance of the play group, Theatrekaran.
The Day II started with the presentation by Mr. Nandhakumar Gopalan, TQI Member, on the topic “Finding the Ikigai” — the search of one’s purpose passion and aspiration. Preceding the presentation, all the student volunteers of TQI were given topics and were asked to present it.
T. Dhanush Kumar of II BA English did the presentation on behalf of his team. The next session of the day was about Cyber Security and AI, which was explained by one of the members of TQI, Mr. Lakshmi Narasiman. In the last session of the Confluence our students were honoured with certificates.
The PG & Research Department of English (SF) takes great pleasure and pride to express that our students won the Best District Award of the year for the second consecutive year.
