Introduction to Thamirabharani Rolling Trophy 2025

The much-awaited Thamirabharani Rolling Trophy 2025 at Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, was conducted with great energy and enthusiasm. The event was spread across three days from 17th to 19th September 2025. The rolling trophy is one of the most celebrated cultural and sports events of the institution, bringing together students from all departments to showcase their creativity, academic skills, sportsmanship, and cultural talents. Thamirabharani Rolling Trophy 2025 saw a vibrant mix of competitions that left students with unforgettable memories and a renewed spirit of unity.

Face Painting Competition

The Thamirabharani Rolling Trophy 2025 began on 17.09.2025 with the Face Painting Competition at the GJ Block Seminar Hall. A total of 28 students from 14 departments displayed their artistic skills and creativity. Their imaginative works of art added a colorful start to the event. The first prize was won by S. Pon Reena and A. Rose Vinslet from B.Sc Physics, the second prize went to K. Abisheka Praissy and C. Muthuselvi from Physics, and the third prize was awarded to L. Lorthu Niloben Rashiba and S. Nanthini from B.Com (Aided).

Extempore Competition

The Extempore Competition was conducted on 17.09.2025 at the GN Block Seminar Hall. Fourteen students from different departments took part in this test of quick thinking and confident speaking. Participants were given topics on the spot and ten minutes to prepare. They impressed the judges with their clarity, body language, and delivery. M. Sharan of Commerce (Un-aided) secured the first prize, followed by R. Swaniska of Commerce (Aided) in second place and P. Velmurugan of M.Sc Mathematics (Aided) in third.

Fireless Cooking Competition

On the same day, the Fireless Cooking Competition was held at the Botany Lab in the SV Block. A total of 32 students from 16 departments participated and prepared creative, healthy dishes without using fire. The judges admired the innovation and taste. R. Aman Gary and M. Karuppasamy from Computer Science (SF) won the first prize, followed by V. Indusha and H. Pavithra from Commerce (Aided) in second place, and A. Dhanushya and A. Anushya from English (SF) in third.

Solo Singing Competition

Music filled the air at the Solo Singing Competition on 17.09.2025 at GN Block Seminar Hall. Fourteen students from different departments impressed the audience with their melodious voices. Judges evaluated them on voice quality, rhythm, and presentation. The first prize went to M. Maria Smilin from Commerce (Aided), the second to K. Vishva from Business Administration, and the third to S. Durga Devi from Computer Science (SF).

Pencil Sketch Competition

The Pencil Sketch Competition took place on 17.09.2025 at the Viscom Drawing Hall with thirteen participants. Students expressed their creativity through detailed sketches, judged on originality and presentation. The winners were Abiseka Praissy K. from M.Sc Mathematics (Regular) in first place, Infent Vinoha W. from M.Sc Microbiology in second, and Mano Sanjai P. from B.Com (Regular) in third.

Photography, Reels, and Fashion Walk

On 18.09.2025, the second day of the Thamirabharani Rolling Trophy 2025, competitions included On Spot Photography, Reels Making, and Fashion Walk. Photography winners were E. Marimuthu from BBA in first place, followed by M. Hariharan from BA Public Administration and B. Karthick from Computer Science (Aided). The Reels Making Contest showcased creativity in digital storytelling, with Commerce (SF) securing first place, Computer Science (SF) second, and English (SF) third. The Fashion Walk at Kamarajar Kalvi Arangam saw eight teams presenting stylish performances. Commerce (Aided) won first, Commerce (SF) second, and Business Administration third.

Ideation for Startup

The Ideation for Startup event encouraged entrepreneurial skills on 18.09.2025. Ten teams pitched innovative business ideas to a panel of judges. The winners were R. Swaniska and A. Yovan Remington from Commerce (Regular) in first place, M. Abarna and E. Cherma Ramya from Chemistry (SF) in second, and Sharan and V. Sam Anand from Commerce (SF) in third.

Group Dance and Short Film

The third day, 19.09.2025, was filled with cultural excitement. The Group Dance for Girls had 13 teams participating, with Commerce (SF) in first place, English (SF) in second, and Computer Science (SF) in third. The Short Film Competition saw 82 participants from 11 departments producing creative films. Computer Science (SF) won first, Commerce (SF) second, and Computer Science (Aided) third. The Group Dance for Boys followed, judged by cultural experts. Commerce (SF) won first place, BBA (SF) second, and Commerce (Aided) third.

Thamirabharani Sports Tournament 2025

Alongside cultural events, the Thamirabharani Sports Tournament 2025 featured Kabaddi and Kho-Kho. In Kabaddi (Girls), History (Aided) won first place, Microbiology (SF) second, and BBA third. In Kabaddi (Boys), History (Aided) came first, Criminology (SF) second, and Commerce (SF) third. In Kho-Kho (Boys), Criminology (SF) secured first, Commerce (Aided) second, and History (Aided) third. In Kho-Kho (Girls), History (Aided) won first, Commerce (SF) second, and Physics (Aided) third.

Valedictory Ceremony and Overall Winners

The grand Valedictory Ceremony of Thamirabharani Rolling Trophy 2025 took place on 19.09.2025 at the Kamarajar Kalvi Arangam. Distinguished dignitaries including Secretary P. S. P. K. J. Somu, Principal Dr. K. Bhanumathi, and Vice Principals Dr. S. Senthil and Dr. A. Arunachalarajan graced the event. The ceremony concluded with the prize distribution where the Department of Commerce (SF) lifted the Overall Trophy, while Commerce (Aided) received the Overall Runners Trophy. The celebration ended with the National Anthem, marking a successful conclusion to an inspiring three-day event.
