State Level Seminar on Augmenting Research Towards High Impact Outcomes – IQAC & Research & Development Cell

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research & Development cell of Kamaraj College organised a State Level Seminar on “Augmenting Research Towards High Impact Outcomes” on the 27th September 2024. The Innaugural Ceremony was begun with the lighting of the Lamp. Dr.A.Asok, Vice Principal delivered the Presidential Address and Dr.V.Joseph Peter, the Associate Professor & Head of Computer Science presented the Felicitation Address to the gathering. The Seminar had three sessions and three eminent speakers. The first guest speaker was Dr.P.Thiyagarajan Assistant Professor, from School of mathematicsand computer science, Central University of Tamil Nadu. He enlightened the participants on the topic “Writing and Publishing High impact research manuscripts” where he explained in depth about how to start the research process till how to go for publication. He also explained the do’s and don’ts about publishing a research manuscript. The second session had Dr.N.N.Krishna Veni, Women Scientist, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Chennai, as the guest speaker. She captivated the attention of the participants with her interactive speech and presentation on the topic “A Roadmap on Innovation and Patent”. She explained how Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) works and how to get Patent for our innovation. Her presentation gave an extensive knowledge about the different aspects of IPR.The third guest speaker was Dr.M.Selvakumar from Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College Sivakasi, presented on the topic “Secrets to Success for Grants and Funded Research”. He explained about the different funding agencies for science and arts. He also elaborated the process of acquiring funds for carrying on research projects, seminar, and workshops from different funding agencies. The seminar ended with the valedictory address given by Dr.A.Joycilin Shermila Principal, Annamal College of education Thoothukudi. In her address she encouraged and motivated the participants to build curiosity towards research. Finally, she wished the budding research scholars to produce high impact researches for societal changes. Moreover our Principal Dr.J.Poongodi and chiefguest encouraged the participants by distributing the certificates.In this State Level Seminar on “Augmenting Research Towards High Impact Outcomes” more than 200 participants such as. PG students, research scholars and faculties participated from within college and from other colleges in Tamilnadu. The joint efforts of IQAC coordinators and Research Coordinators from arts and science made the seminar a successful one.
