State Level Intercollegiate Competition: Pesta23+ – BBA Dept.
The department of Business Administration & Shipping and Logistics Management organized “One Day State Level Intercollegiate Competition – Pesta23+” on 13.10.2023. The registration of the event started by 09.00 am. After the registration for the participants the inaugural ceremony began at 10.00 AM. Dr.S. Rajesh Kumar, Panchayat President Umarikaadu, Thoothukudi District President, Panchayat President Association has been invited as the chief guest for the Inaugural Ceremony. The inauguration began with greetings of the event followed by Tamil Thai vazhthu after that the dignitaries lit the lamp as a kindle for the start of the event. To give a brief about the past Pesta 23 competition an AV was played after which the dignitaries where invited to the dias. The Head of the Department Dr.R.Karuppasamy welcomed the gathering. The Vice principal Dr. A.Arunachala Rajan honoured the guest with a shawl and The head of the Department honoured the guest with a memento. The chief guest honoured the judges of the events organised. The Vice Principal gave the presidential address followed by which the Chief guest addressed the gatherings. With an aura of inauguration the events begin as per the programme schedule in the respective halls. After successful completion of the events the valedictory of Pesta23+ began. Mr. Pazharasam P. Vinayagamoorthy, President, Thoothukudi Mathiya Viyabarigal Sangam has been invited as the chief guest. The valedictory began with the greeting note followed by the welcome dance. A special performance was given by the saga kalai Kulu . Followed by that our department students gave the host performance. The report of the event was read by Assistant Professor P.Jeyalakshmi. The dignitaries where invited to the stage. The Principal Dr.J.Poongodi and Vice Principal Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan has felicitated the chief guest by doing the honours. Followed by this prize distribution started Assistant Professor K.Abirami read out the list of winners and the chief guest has done the honour for the winners of the events. Finally the Event successfully ended with the announcement of overall runner and winner of the event and vote of thanks were delivered by our department secretary Shivaani Manoharan – II BBA. K-masso President Mr. Kumaran – III BBA SL, Vice President Mr. Pugalendhi, Joint Secretary Mr.Sudharsana – II BBA SL, Treasurer Mr. Bavinesh – III BBA, Joint Treasurer Ms. Yuva Sai Priya- BBA and Committee Members Mr.Mohnis – III BBA, Mr.Sivaram and Mr.Josuah – III BBA SL were acted as coordinators and successfully done their work to complete this programme as grand success. Totally 6 events where organised 18 colleges and 240 participants actively took part in the events from various districts. V.O.Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi is the runner and The American College, Madurai is the winner of Manageemnt Pesta23+.
