Special Screening and Discussion of the Film Parari – Visual Communication Dept.

The Department of Visual Communication at Kamaraj College, in collaboration with the Tamilnadu Kalai Elakkiya Perumandram, organized a special screening and discussion of the film Parari on March 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the AV Hall. The event featured Parari, a film written and directed by Ezhil Periyavedi.
The program was smoothly conducted by MCs Jeena and Kajendran. Jeffrin delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the event, while Anburaj introduced the chief guest, Director Ezhil Periyavedi. The audience, consisting of students, faculty, and cinema enthusiasts, watched Parari, which effectively portrayed the struggles of migration through powerful storytelling and music.
After the screening, a discussion session was held where students engaged with Director Ezhil Periyavedi, discussing various aspects of filmmaking, storytelling techniques, and the social themes in Parari. The session provided valuable insights into independent filmmaking and the creative process behind socially relevant films.
Following the insightful discussion, Pavithran delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, faculty members, students, and organizers for their contributions to the event’s success. The event was coordinated by Mr. S. Vaishnavi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual Communication.
The movie screening and discussion provided an enriching learning experience for the students, offering them a deeper understanding of the creative and technical aspects of filmmaking.
