
Seminar on Marching towards Five Trillion Dollar Indian Economy – Dept. of Economics
The Department of Economics (SF) at Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi, organized a one-day State Level Seminar titled “Marching towards Five Trillion Dollar Indian Economy”- Possibilities and Challenges on September 18, 2024. The event was held in the Seminar Hall (GJ Block). The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. S. Raman, Head of the Department of Economics (SF), and the resource person, Dr. D. Kathiravan, Assistant Professor at St. John’s College, Thirunelveli, was honored by E.Vishwa, III BA students. Dr. M. Chandra, Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics (SF), delivered the welcome address and introduced the resource person. Dr.D.Kathiravan led an engaging session on the challenges and opportunities involved in the growth of the Indian economy, with a particular focus on reaching the five trillion dollar milestone. Students actively participated in the discussion, raising questions and clearing their doubts. The total number of participants for this event is 87 students. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss R. Rujisha of I BA Public Administration.
