Seminar on Kidneys? Your Questions Answered – Dept. of Microbiology & YRC

Post Graduate and Research Department of Microbiology associated with Youth Red Cross (YRC) organized seminar on “KIDNEYS? YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED” on 03 Jan 2025 at Seminar Hall, G.J. Block. Dr. Vijay Thanaraj MRCP(UK) MRCP (Nephrology) Senior Renal and transplant consultant , The Thanaraj Kidney Care Speciality Hospitals, Accepted our invitation and was present as the Chief Guest. The program started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Ishwariya of III Bsc gave the welcome address. Dr.S.Abirami, Head of the Department of Microbiology has inaugurated the program. Our vice principal Dr. A.Arunachala Rajan, honored the chief guest with the shield and felicitation. S.Rajakumaran of III Bsc gave a brief about YRC and it’s service motive to humanity. Hemanath R of III Bsc introduced the Resource Person. Dr. Vijay Thanaraj delivered the brief seminar about Kidneys and their functions and ways to maintain our kidney health . The students actively listened the seminar. It was a very useful one as it created awareness among students about the effects of drug usage on Kidneys and other health issues.This seminar turned into a great success as students are now well aware about functioning of the Renal system and how to preserve it. We thank our college management and Our Department YRC incharge Dr. R. Amster Regin Lawrence and student coordinators for arranging this seminar. Vote of thanks was delivered by Giftlin Sandra of III Bsc. Finally, the program ended with National Anthem.
