Seaweed Field Visit 2026: Inspiring Coastal Study for Botany Students

Seaweed Field Visit was organised by Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) for I M.Sc. Botany students on 23 September 2026.
The students visited Thirespuram Beach and the Tharuvaikulam Ecotourism Area to gain practical knowledge of seaweed diversity and coastal ecosystems. The programme focused on seaweed collection, field identification, specimen documentation and the ecological importance of marine algae.
