The NSS Unit 218 organised the Sapling Plantation programme for celebrating the 78th Independence Day on 15.08.2024 at Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. It was initiated to plant two hundred saplings with the support of HDFC Bank Thoothukudi Branch. Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principal and S.Eswaramoorthy, Designation Manager, HDFC Bank, Thoothukudi started the programme by planting the sapling. The programme was coordinated effectively by Dr.R.Karuppasamy, NSS Programme Officer and ten active NSS Volunteers.
