Rejuvenate the Phoenix Literary Association for the academic year 2022-2023 – English Dept.

Department of English organized a meet to Rejuvenate the Phoenix Literary Association for the academic year 2022-2023. Dr. A.Shanti, Assistant Professor and Head, Research Department of English, Kamaraj College, was the Chief Guest. She motivated the students to improve their language skills. Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principal, Kamaraj College felicitated the gathering. Ms. V. Shobana Devi of II MA English was nominated as the Chairperson of our Association, Mr. A. T. Theepak Suvitson of I MA English was nominated as the President, Ms. K. Bala Subbulakshmi of III BA English was nominated as the Vice President, Mr. Malik Batcha of II BA English was nominated as the Secretary and Mr. T. Dhanush Kumar of I BA English was nominated as the Joint Secretary. The nominated office bearers took oath to serve the fellow students, department and college sincerely. As an initiative step, the Phoenix Literary Association conducted a Sonnet Recitation Competition. Ms. Athi Lakshmi of II BA English won the first prize, Ms. Shanmuga Priya of II MA English won the second prize and Ms. Abiya Esther of II MA English won the third prize. The winners of the competition were also honoured.
