POCSO ACT Awareness Program – NSS Units: 55, 181 & UBA

On the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, a programme on POCSO ACT Awareness was organised on behalf of NSS Unit No. 55, 181 and UBA in Kamaraj College, Botony Lab, on October 11, 2023. Ms. Abirami Arumugam, Sub Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime PS, Thoothukudi, presented a special speech on Girl Child Protection and explained the KAVALAN SOS App, Cyber security with Dial Toll-Free Helpline Number 181. Dr. T. Ponrathy (former NSS Programme Officer), Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Botany, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi, participated in this programme as a Special Invitor. NSS Programme officers Dr.O.Nethaji, Dr.A.Esakkimuthu, Dr. J. Nagarajan, and UBA Coordinator were jointly conducted in the programme. More than 150 NSS and UBA students benefited from this programme.
