Outreach Program for Students – Commerce Dept.

The department of Commerce organised and outreach program for students title “An insight for your future” in collaboration with the YRC 9 students accompanied by 2 staff members extended the wide spread on knowledge on higher education, career development and investment planning for the students of Kamaraj School, thoothukudi. The session began with a welcome note by Dr. R. Siva Sundari, Assistant Professor of the department of Commerce and event organising secretary. Thereby taken over by Ms. Subiksha of II M.COM who gave an insight for the students on the best UG and PG degree to be chosen after schooling. Then Ms. Pavithra Devi of II M.COM addressed the gathering on the professional courses to be pursued for a bright future. Later taken over by Ms. Rathi Meena of II M.COM who enlightened the students on Financial management and investment options. Mrs. Machado Sneha John, Assistant Professor of the department of Commerce and YRC co-ordinator enlightened the students on the various career and placement options available for each degree and professional courses to be pursued. Also the YRC team along with YRC Co-ordinators of the department of commerce planted sapling in the school campus. The session’s beneficiaries were 63 students of Kamaraj School Thoothukudi.
