NSS Orientation Programme 2026: Inspiring Volunteers from 6 NSS Units
NSS Orientation Programme was organised by the NSS Units 54, 55, 56, 145, 146 and 181 of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi, on 8 October 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, at the Seminar Hall.
The programme aimed to familiarise NSS volunteers with the objectives, responsibilities, values and activities of the National Service Scheme. It also encouraged students to participate actively in social service, community development and volunteer initiatives.
Dr. A. Velliappan, NSS Programme Coordinator, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, served as the Chief Guest and Resource Person. He delivered an informative and inspiring orientation session, motivating students to understand the importance of serving society through NSS.
The programme was graced by Dr. S. Senthil, Vice Principal, who honoured the Resource Person and delivered the presidential address.
NSS Orientation Programme 2026
The NSS Orientation Programme brought together volunteers from six NSS units of Kamaraj College to strengthen their understanding of the National Service Scheme and its role in community development.

Honouring the Chief Guest
Dr. S. Senthil, Vice Principal, honoured Dr. A. Velliappan, NSS Programme Coordinator, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, by presenting him with a shawl.
The Vice Principal subsequently delivered the presidential address, adding significance to the programme and encouraging the participating NSS volunteers.
