Nanobiotechnological Approaches for Better Environment

The Department of Microbiology, Kamaraj College has organized and conducted one day guest lecture on “NANOBIOTECHNOLOGICAL APPROACHES FOR BETTER ENVIRONMENT” during 24.02.2020 at seminar hall, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. B.Sc, M.Sc Microbiology students and the faculty members of the Dept of Microbiology has attended the guest lecture. Dr. ANTONY V.SAMROT, Senior Lecturer, Department of Biomedical sciences, MAHSA University, Malayasia was the guest speaker. The guest lecture has inaugurated by Dr. A.M. Tony Melwyn , Director and begun with the guest speaker introduction by Dr.S.Abirami, HOD , Microbiology. The guest speaker delivered an excellent lecture on spion nanoparticle synthesis using plant resin and its characterization. Moreover, he explained about the functioning of sophisticated equipments such as FTIR, GC-MS, SEM,TEM and AFM for nanoparticle characterization. The students actively interacted with the guest speaker and raised various queries related to nanoparticle synthesis and guest speaker has explained all the queries and gave various ideas related to students project.
