Namma Thoothukudiyil Kiramathu Pongal – Kamaraj Start-Ups Centre

The Kamaraj Startup Centre (Entrepreneurship Development Cell) Kamaraj College and Tamilnadu Women Entrepreneurs Association jointly organised the Pongal Festival Competitions in the Name of “Namma Thoothukudiyil Kiramathu Pongal” on 10.01.2024 at Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. Dr.James, Doctor & Managing Director, Arputham Hospital, Mr.J.Jebenezar, Director, SBI, TSETI, Thoothukudi and Dr.J.Poongodi, Principal, Kamaraj College inaugurated the ceremony and motivated the participants. Uri Adithal, Kolam Poduthal, Kayiru Iluthal, Eruthu Nadai and Traditional Dress Walk competitions were conducted for womens and girls from Thoothukudi District and students from Kamaraj College. Above 200 womens and girls participated in various competitions and won the amazing prices. Especially one gram gold coin was issued to winners of Eruthu Nadai. Followed by Kolattam, Karakattam, Thappattam, Mayilattam and Oyilattam performance were done by Kiramya Kalaignarkal. And the special even m”Mattu Vandi Ride” was arranged for experiencing the travelling in the traditional vehicle Finally the prices were distributed to winners and participants at Valedictory Function. The Vice Principals of Kamaraj College Dr.A.Asok and Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan presided over the function. Mr.V.Dinesh, Managing Director, Dinamalar and Mr.Kannan, Manager, Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, Kamaraj College Thoothukudi were chief guest and distributed the prize. The entire programme was successfully coordinated by Dr.R.Karuppasamy, Coordinator, Kamaraj Startup Centre and Dr.Kriahna Radha Krishna, Founder Chairman, Tamilnadu Women Entrepreneurs Association.
