My Garbage, My Responsibility

An awareness program “My Garbage, My Responsibility” has been organized by the Green and Clean Club, Kamaraj College on 21.09.2022. It started with Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Dr. T. Ponrathy, HOD of Botany delivered a felicitation address and pointed out the ethics to keep our surroundings clean and tidy in a proper manner. Dr. A. Arunkumar, City Health Officer, and Mr. C. Rajasekaran, Sanitary Officer, City Municipal Corporation, Thoothukudi, have invited as a chief guests and they have delivered regarding disposal of garbage based on the category of garbage and lead a healthy life in the bin free and garbage free city in this program. Dr. T. Ponrathy, HOD of Botany and Dr. M. Muthu Sheeba, Assistant Professor of Botany have honoured the chief guests. Mr. A. Mathana Gopal, Assistant professor of Physics, Mr. A. Thenarasu, Swachh police, Mr. A. Ashok Kumar, and his animator team participated in this program. All the dignitaries on the dais and off the dais have taken the oath “My Garbage, My Responsibility”. Based on the oath, it has categorized to segregate garbage and dispose properly and keep our surroundings clean and make others maintain the same. The welcome address was given by Ms. Mari Nisha, I B.Sc. Botany. Ms. S. Thean Revathi, I B.Sc., Botany anchored the program. A vote of thanks was given by Dr. T. Kumareswari, Co-ordinator of Green and Clean Club. The program ended with the National Anthem.
