The Mobile Medical Unit launched in the Thoothukudi District by the Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu and Thoothukudi District Branch on 06.01.2025 at Kamaraj College(Autonomous), Thoothukudi. Our College secretary Mr. P.S.P.K.J. Somu presided over the function. Our Principal Dr.J.Poongodi felicitated by inviting the guest. Mr.Narayanan Thirupathy, Independent Director, REC (A Maharatna Company), Government of India and Dr.M.Yazhini, District Health Officer jointly flagged off the Medical Unit vehicle and dedicated to the general public. Dr.A.Asok and Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principals, Dr.S.Vaseekaran, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Thoothukudi District Branch and secretary Dr.N. Sudha Kumari felicitated the function. The college students, Red Cross members and general public actively participated in this social event. The entire event was coordinated by Dr.R.Karuppasamy, Nodal Officer, Mobile Medical Unit and NSS Programme Officer-218, and faculties of business administration.
