Microbiology Club Activity: 5 Creative Events with 58 Students
Introduction
The Microbiology Club Activity was successfully organized by the PG and Research Department of Microbiology of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi on 24 July 2026.
The programme was conducted to encourage students to showcase their knowledge, creativity, teamwork and active participation through various academic and creative events. A total of 58 students enthusiastically participated in the club activity.
Objectives of the Programme
The Microbiology Club Activity was organized to promote student involvement, creativity and healthy competition.
The major objectives of the programme were:
- To encourage students to participate in club activities
- To improve knowledge through quiz competition
- To develop creativity through bottle painting and pencil art
- To promote quick thinking through connection and Pictionary
- To build teamwork and coordination among students
- To provide a platform for students to express their talents
- To recognize and appreciate the winners of each event
The programme helped students learn, interact and perform in a positive and encouraging environment.
Events Conducted
As part of the Microbiology Club Activity, five different events were conducted for the students.
The events were:
- Quiz
- Bottle Painting
- Pencil Art
- Connection
- Pictionary
Each event gave students an opportunity to participate according to their interests and talents. The variety of events made the programme lively, creative and enjoyable.
Quiz Competition
The quiz competition helped students test their knowledge, memory and quick thinking. It encouraged students to recall information and answer questions with confidence.

Bottle Painting

Participation of Students
A total of 58 students enthusiastically participated in the five events. The students showcased their creativity, subject knowledge, confidence and team spirit.

Prize Distribution

Role of II M.Sc Microbiology Students
The entire programme was successfully planned and conducted by the II M.Sc Microbiology students. Their dedication, teamwork and organizing ability contributed to the smooth execution of the event.
