10 Inspiring Highlights from the Microbial Conquerors Association Inauguration

Introduction

The Microbial Conquerors Association for the academic year 2026–2027 was successfully inaugurated by the PG and Research Department of Microbiology of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi on 16 July 2026. The inauguration ceremony was organized along with an informative seminar on “Careers in Food Science and Self-Confidence Development.”

The programme marked an important beginning for the newly elected association office bearers and created a meaningful academic platform for students to understand leadership, scientific learning, career opportunities and professional development.

Objectives of the Programme

The Microbial Conquerors Association inauguration and seminar was organized to promote academic excellence, leadership and scientific awareness among students.

The Microbial Conquerors Association for the academic year 2026–2027 was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mrs. T. Anish Raj, M.Sc., M.Phil., Microbiologist, Spices Board India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

Her presence added great value to the programme, as she brought practical experience from the field of microbiology, food science and quality-related professional work. The inauguration created enthusiasm among students and encouraged them to actively involve themselves in association activities.

As part of the inauguration ceremony, Dr. S. Abirami, Head, PG and Research Department of Microbiology, officially presented the Association Logo to the newly elected President, M. Thalavai Nagasaran of II M.Sc Microbiology.

This symbolic presentation marked the formal assumption of leadership for the academic year 2026–2027. It also represented responsibility, teamwork and the commitment of student leaders to carry forward the activities of the association with dedication.

Following the inauguration, the Chief Guest delivered an informative seminar on “Careers in Food Science and Self-Confidence Development.”
