Meta Journalistic Initiatives and The future of Journalism – Visual Communication Dept.

The department of Visual Communication organized an one day National Seminar on the topic of “Meta Journalistic Initiatives and The future of Journalism” on 13.04.2023 at 9.am. Mr.Daniel hosted the show. The session started with Tamil Thai Vazhlthu. Ms.Indhuja of I B.Sc Visual Communication welcomed the gathering. Ms.Atchaya of I B.Sc Viscom, gave a brief note on the resource person. Dr.Gopalakrishnan, Dept of Commerce honoured the resource person with shawl .Then the session was carried over the resource person Dr.V. Ratna Mala , Professor and Head, department of Mass Communication, Mizoram Central University mizoram, who gave more details on Metajournalism and how to prepare for the Media jobs. The Students from I st and II year students actively participated and interact with our chief guest. The resource person has enlightened our Viscom students, the need and significance of Metajournalism for now and future and the career opportunities for the media students, from journalism to new media, cinema to animation. Finally the session came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms.Jeyashree of II year B.Sc Visual Communication.
