Mera Mati Mera Desh Program – NSS Unit 218

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India initiated and implemented the Mera Mati Mera Desh Program (MMMD) in our country by involving NSS volunteers in the various social activities such as saplings plantation, My Country My Soil etc. For this social movement, two days event was organised by the Directorate of National Service Scheme at New Delhi on 30.10.2023 and 31.10.2023. The Prime Minister of India delivered the motivational speech related with MMMD and success of Amrit Kalsh program on 31.10.2023. The regional directorate of NSS has planned to telecast the Prime Minister’ speech to the NSS Volunteers and general public of all regions. Hence, they selected two colleges and nodal officers from each district, and then taken the necessary steps for organising live telecast in the selected colleges. In the south region, they selected the Kamaraj College as one of the college from Thoothukudi District. The Principal Dr.J.Poongodi and Vice Principal Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan have made the necessary arrangements for telecasting the event. The live telecast program has been successfully organised and coordinated by the Nodal Officer Dr.R.Karuppasamy, Program Officer, NSS Unit 218.
