Mentor Mentee Meeting – Commerce Dept.

The Department of Commerce (Self-Finance) at Kamaraj College successfully hosted a Mentor-Mentee Meet on 11 July 2025, aiming to create a collaborative and supportive environment between faculty members and students.

The primary objective of the program was to bridge the gap between experienced mentors from the department and mentees who are on their academic and professional journey. The event began with an opening address that emphasized the vital role of mentorship in academic success, personal development, and career planning.

The meet featured a series of interactive sessions, including ice-breaking activities, panel discussions, and one-on-one interactions that encouraged meaningful dialogue between students and their mentors. These sessions provided ample opportunities for faculty members to share their experience and insights, while students were able to express their concerns, seek guidance, and gain valuable direction.

The program not only helped establish strong mentor-mentee relationships but also served as a platform for students to network with faculty and peers, promoting a culture of mutual support and academic encouragement within the department.

A total of 1014 students benefitted from this initiative, making it one of the most impactful and inclusive events of the academic year.

The Mentor-Mentee Meet stands as a testament to the department’s commitment to nurturing a student-centered learning environment, where each learner feels heard, supported, and motivated to achieve excellence both in academics and beyond.
