The Department of Business Administration & Shipping and Logistics Management organized a State level intercollegiate competition named “Management PESTA’23” on 21st March 2023. The event started with an Inauguration ceremony. K-Masso Students Association Teams (Mr. J. Jenith, President – III BBA SL, Ms.S.Sukirtha, Vice President – III BBA, Mr.V.Mohnish, Secretary – II BBA, Mr.K.Kumaran, Joint-Secretary – II BBA SL, Ms.S.Poovarasi, Treasure – III BBA SL, Mr. S. Vinusakthi, Joint-Treasurer – III BBA) have welcomed the guest and judge with fruit bouquet and made all arrangement for them. Students from various colleges participated in the six different competitions such as Best Manager, Business Quiz, Corporate Walk, Sketch it out (Logo Design), Ad-Mad and As you like it. The events conducted systematically in the pre allotted halls. Hospitality and refreshments has been arranged and served perfectly by our student hospitality team. After successfully conducting these events, the Prize Distribution Ceremony took place at the Kamarajar Kalvi Arangam. Ms. Shivani Manohar of I BBA delivered the introduction address of the guest and report of the event. On behalf of the department Host program was performed by the department students. A special performance was given by Saha kiramiya kalai Kulu team. The Head of the Department, Dr. R. Karuppasamy, delivered the welcome address. The faculties honored the judges by providing a memento and wearing a shawl. The student association President Mr.J.Jenith and Vice President, Ms.S.Sukirtha honored the dignities on the stage by providing a memento and wearing a shawl. The Principal, Dr. J. Poongodi, delivered the Presidential address, and the Felicitation address was delivered by Dr. V. Gopalakrishnan, i/c of Self-Financing courses. Our respected Secretary, Mr. P.S.P.K.J.Somu and the Chief Guest, Dr. S. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Periyar University, Salem, addressed the gathering. Then, the prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest for the winners of various events conducted. The overall winners of the event “Management PESTA’23” were V.O.Chidambaram College, Tuticorin and the runner of the event is “St.Mary’s college, Thoothukudi”. The Students Association Committees ( Mr.A.Mithun Aditya Bagavathi of III BBA, Coordinator – PRO Committee, Mr.S.Karthikeyan of III BBA, Coordinator – Event Committee, Mr. F.Kevin of III BBA SL, Coordinator – Technical Committee, Mr. I. Udhayakumar of III BBA SL, Coordinator – Refreshment Committee and Mr. S.U.Josuah of II BBA SL, Coordinator – Decoration Committee) they have done their work perfectly to complete this event by grand success. Mr.Kalith Bagas of III BBA SL and Mr.G.Pugalenthi of II BBA did fabulous work on hospitality for the guest and judges.
Finally, the event came to an end with the Vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Shivaani Manoharan of I BBA, followed by the National Anthem. Overall, PESTA’23 was a grand success, and it provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their skills and talents.
