Lecture on Overview of DRDO and its Products for Nation Building

The PG & Research Department of Chemistry and Youth Red Cross jointly organized a Technical Lecture on AN OVERVIEW OF DRDO AND ITS PRODUCTS FOR NATION BUILDING in celebration and commemoration of 75 years of progressive India & a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav scheme on 19th May, 2022. Mr. K. Soosaimuthu, SCIENTIST-D, DRDS Officer, Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment, Defence Research and Development Service, Avadi, Chennai. (Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence), acted as the Guest Scientist. He shared his vast knowledge about DRDO and its contribution to our nation. He also explained clearly the various opportunities in DRDO for science graduates. Mr. R. Muthukumar @ Sivaraman, Head (i/c) organized the event fruitfully along with Dr. R. Lenin (Organizing Secretary) and staff members. Master of the ceremony was done by Ms. S. R. Ashwini Punitha and Ms. K. Karthika of II. M.Sc. Chemistry. A welcome address was given by Mr. V. Santhosh Kumar of III B.Sc. Chemistry and Vote of thanks were delivered by Ms. P. Hema Deepiha of III. B. Sc. Chemistry. Around 200 Science Students from both aided and unaided streams actively participated and highly benefitted from this lecture.
