Kamaraj College proudly commemorated the Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration on 26th July 2025 with deep patriotism and enthusiasm. The NCC Army Wing, in association with Mera Yuva Bharat, organized a memorable event to pay tribute to the valiant soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War of 1999. This celebration was not just an act of remembrance but also a powerful medium to educate and inspire the younger generation about the supreme sacrifices made for the nation.
The event was graced by distinguished chief guests, Subedar Chandrasekar and Company Havildar Major Ravi, who brought with them years of experience and stories that echoed bravery and dedication to duty. Their presence added immense value to the event and left a lasting impact on all attendees. They interacted with the cadets, shared firsthand accounts of military life, and emphasized the importance of discipline, service, and patriotism.
To foster awareness and encourage active participation, a range of activities were organized. A drawing competition was conducted with the theme “Kargil Victory – A Tribute to Indian Soldiers.” Students from Kamaraj College and neighboring institutions enthusiastically participated, expressing their gratitude and respect through vivid illustrations. These drawings depicted scenes of the Kargil battle, Indian soldiers in action, and the spirit of national pride.
Alongside the drawing event, an elocution competition was also held. Dr. Bhanumathi, the respected Principal of Kamaraj College, honored the winners of the drawing and elocution competitions. A total of 60 cadets from Kamaraj College and VOC College participated in the event. Their presence and active involvement gave the celebration the true spirit of unity and pride.
