Powerful 10-Event KAMCAM 26 Symposium at Kamaraj College
KAMCAM 26 Symposium
The KAMCAM 26 Symposium, a state-level inter-collegiate competition, was successfully organized by the Department of Computer Science (Self-Financing), Kamaraj College Autonomous, Thoothukudi, on 06 January 2026. The full-day academic and technical event was conducted from 08.30 a.m. to 05.30 p.m. at the C V Raman Computer Science Block.
The symposium provided an excellent platform for students from various colleges across Tamil Nadu to showcase their technical knowledge, creativity, analytical thinking, and communication skills through a diverse set of competitions.
Inaugural Session
The symposium commenced with a formal inaugural session held at the Seminar Hall of the C V Raman Block. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. K. Bhanumathi, Principal, Dr. A. Arunachala Rajan, Vice Principal, and Dr. G. Sophana, Head of the Department of Computer Science. The Student Council Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer also adorned the dais.
The programme began with a warm welcome address delivered by K. Akshaya Preethi. The dignitaries ceremonially lit the lamp of wisdom, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and innovation. The Principal was honoured by the Student Council Chairperson, while the Vice Principal was honoured by the Treasurer, acknowledging their leadership and continuous support.
In her inaugural address, the Principal emphasized the importance of technical symposiums like the KAMCAM 26 Symposium in shaping students into industry-ready professionals.
Participation and Event Structure
The symposium witnessed enthusiastic participation from 14 colleges across Tamil Nadu, with 18 teams registering for various events. The competitions were conducted in two sessions, morning and afternoon, and were held simultaneously across multiple venues within the department.
The events were broadly categorized into technical and non-technical competitions, allowing students from diverse interests to participate actively.

Valedictory Session and Overall Results
The valedictory ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the KAMCAM 26 Symposium. Based on overall performance across all events, Wavoo Wajeeha Womens College emerged as the Overall Champions, while St. Xaviers College secured the Runner Up position.
The vote of thanks was delivered by M. S. Thiru Selva Murugan, Student Council Secretary, expressing gratitude to the judges, faculty members, volunteers, and participants.
