Iodine Deficiency Awareness Program

On the behalf of the health care and Girls Care Clubs of Kamaraj College in Association with FSSAI, India have organized ‘an Iodine Awareness Program on 04.11.2022. Dr. S. Mariappan MBBS, MPH, Designated Officer, food safety wing, Thoothukudi was the chief guest and he delivered a wonderful talk on the importance of Iodine, iodine deficiency diseases, causes, and treatment and he explained how to identify the iodine salt from the non-iodized salt. The officers from FSSAI and salt producers from Thoothukudi participated in this program. The program arrangements were done by the health care and girls’ care club student volunteers.
