International Youth Day – RRC

The Red Ribbon Club of Kamaraj College and The Tuticorin YRC Jointly organised an awareness program on Aids and drug addiction in Kamaraj College on the occasion of International Youth Day (27-8-24). The District collector Mr.Ellam Bagavath inaugurated the program. The Tuticorin District AIDS Prevention and Control Officer addressed the students on prevention and awareness through the unit by stressing on HIV/AIDS, drug de-addiction. Then an Awareness Rally by Youth Welfare and Services was held on 27-08-2024. HIV/AIDS awareness stickers were pasted on the autos on the occasion of International Youth Day. Followed by that an awareness rally and competitions at district level, were held. Mr.Ellam Bagavath distributed the prizes to the winners and blessed them for a good and healthy future.The District AIDS Control Officer M.S. Porchelvan welcomed them and the District Project Manager Mr.A.Amalavalan took the lead. A pledge was taken on AIDS and then many cultural programs took place. Tuticorin District AIDS Prevention and Control Office Staff, NGO Staff and Kamaraj College based Red Ribbon Co-ordinator Dr.A.Devaraj Organised the program in a successful manner. Finally Dr.A.Devaraj , Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club of Kamaraj College gave the vote of thanks.
