International Yoga Day 2023

Kamaraj College and Vivekananda Kendra, Thoothukudi Branch jointly organised an International Yoga Day on Wednesday 21.06.2023 at 06:00 AM at Kamaraj College ground. The ceremony started with Shanti Mantra and Dr. A Devaraj, Head, Department of History gave the welcome address. Thoothukudi District Deputy Collector (Training) Mr. M. Prabhu was the special guest and delivered his speech about the role of yoga in protecting the body and mind. Nearly 1000 students from various schools and our college were participated in this grand celebration and were taught preparatory exercises, asanas, pranayama, patanjali salutations. In this program, Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme – Secretary Mr. Ayyappan, Vivekananda Kendra Thoothukudi Nagar Sanchalak Mrs. Subathra Vetrivel and the principal of Kamaraj College, Dr J. Poongodi were present and honoured.
