International Workshop on Teaching Pedagogy under National Education Policy 2020 – Commerce Dept.

The PG and Research Department of Commerce organized an International Workshop on “Teaching Pedagogy under National Education Policy 2020” on 21 February, 2023, in the Seminar Hall, GJ Block. The Programme was hosted by Ms. M. Ramya and Ms. P. Sharu Vanitha of III B.Com. The Programme started with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Dr. M. Thatchinamurthy, the HOD and Convenor of this workshop welcomed the gathering followed by the Presidential Address given by Dr. J. Poongodi, the Principal.
Dr. J. Muralitharan, Associate Professor Commerce, introduced the Resource person of Session – I, which was handled by Dr. S. S. Jeyaraj, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Guangxi Minzu University, China. He has delivered his speech on the title “National Education Policy – Challenges and Opportunities for Higher Education”, and explained all the pros and cons in detail on the New Education Policy.
Dr. R. S. Thangeswari, Assistant Professor of Commerce, felicitated about the Resource Person of the second session. This session was engaged by Dr. A. Veliappan, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, on the title “Innovative Methods of Teaching Pedagogy”. He enthusiastically explained all the innovative methods and methodologies of Teaching by sharing his own experience in the field of Teaching. Both the sessions were informative as well as inspiring to all our teaching faculties.
Dr. A. Arunachala Rajan, Organising Secretary of this workshop delivered vote of thanks. The faculty members from Kamaraj College and other colleges participated in the programme. Around 200 faculty members and Research Scholars from 10 colleges were benefited. The Programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
