International Women’s Day 2024

International Women’s Day was celebrated with pomp and gaiety on 8th March 2024. The purpose of the celebration is to mark the progress made towards gender equality and women’s empowerment. At the outset of program our principal Dr.J.Poongodi gave a short speech on Women’s Day. First Speaker JCI Adv.V. Subachini Wilson conveyed an inspiring message to the girl students. She inspired them to be a women of courage, compassion and care at the same time not forgetting to be self reliant and independent. Mr.R. Radhakrishnan M.B.A., highlighted the greatness and importance of women in every sphere of life Dr.R. Prabavathy, Head ,Department of Economics (Retd.) was honoured in this occasion. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions organised to mark this occasion. As a visual treat a spectacular cultural programme was staged by the students. The programme was concluded by singing the National Anthem.
