International Seminar on Hybrid Mode – Chemistry Dept.

International Seminar on Hybrid mode “Smart work – A key to crack CSIR-NET Chemical Science Exam” jointly organized by the PG and Research Department of Chemistry, Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi & PG and Research Department of Chemistry, SFR College for Women (Autonomous), Sivakasi held on 21.01.2025 at Seminar Hall (GJ block), Kamaraj College. The program started with Tamilthai Vazhthu. Dr. Pon Sathieshkumar Ponnusamy, PostDoc Fellow, Centre for Regenerative Nanomedicine, Northwestern University, USA and Dr. B. Divya, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, St.Mary’s College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi acted as the Resource person of the program. The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. N. ChandraLekha, Head & Assistant Professor, Kamaraj College (Autonomous). The introduction of the resource person Dr. Pon Sathieshkumar Ponnusamy was done by Dr. R. Rajkumar and Dr. B. Divya by Dr. K. Krishnaveni, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Kamaraj College (Autonomous). Dr. Pon Sathieshkumar Ponnusamy discussed the various types of organic reactions and reagent questions that were asked in CSIR-NET Examination. Dr. B. Divya spoke about the Smart work to pass the NET chemical science exam. The session was highly interactive with resource person engaging with the students by asking questions and clarifying their doubts. The feedback from the students indicates that they found the session was highly beneficial. Our department UG & PG students and SFR college department faculty members and students participated, gained knowledge about the CSIR-NET Examination. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Sowmiya Lincy of I M.Sc. A total of 96 students actively participated through Online mode and benefited. The National Anthem marked the end of the successful program.
