International Day of Yoga 2024
Vivekananda Kendra, Thoothukudi Branch and Kamaraj College jointly organised an “International Day of Yoga 2024” on Friday 21.06.2024 at 06:00 AM at Kamaraj College ground. The ceremony started with Shanti Mantra and Dr. J. Poongodi, Principal gave the welcome address. All India Vivekanada Kendra Vice President Mananeeya Shri. Hanumantha Rao delivered his speech about the role of yoga in protecting the body and mind. Nearly 800 students from various schools and our college were participated in this grand celebration and were taught preparatory exercises, asanas, pranayama, patanjali salutations. All the Schools and College students were received their participation certificates and institutions were honoured with the momento. Mr. M. Balamurugan, Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra, Thoothukudi delivered the vote of thanks. In this program, Vivekananda Kendra Thoothukudi Nagar Sanchalak Mrs. Subathra Vetrivel, Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme – Secretary Mr. Ayyappan, faculty members of Kamaraj College were presented.
