The 2nd International Conference on “Effectiveness of Social Media and Consumer Engagement” has been organized by the Department of Business Administration on 28.02.2023 at Seminar Hall, GJ Block, Kamaraj College, Thoothukudi. Dr. R. Karuppasamy, Organizing Secretary and Head of the Department has invited all dignitaries and participants by his welcome address. Our Principal Dr. J. Poongodi has lighted the lamp and delivered the presidential address, and the Vice Principal Dr.A.Arunachala Rajan has given felicitation address. Dr. P. Arunachalam, Professor and Head of the Department of Applied Economics, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, Kerala, he was a chief guest, and has inaugurated the conference and released the conference proceedings.
Dr. S.S. Jeyaraj, Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Guangxi Minzu University, School of International Education, Guangxi University for Nationalities, People’s Republic of China, led the first technical session, which focused on the impact of social media on customer engagement. Dr.M.Rajee, Assistant Professor has acted as Chairperson and well-coordinated the first session. Dr. S. Silas Sargunam, Former Dean and Head of the Department of Management Studies, Anna University, Regional Campus, Tirunelveli,, led the second technical session, which explored the prospects and limitations of digital marketing. Mr.R.Viveganandan, Assistant Professor has acted as Chairperson for the second session. From this conference, more than 200 participants benefited from various colleges and our college.
Ms. S.Sukirtha, III BBA has made the conference as happiest merriment by her welcome dance. Ms. Kaleeswari II – BBA, Ms. Shivani Manokar I – BBA and Ms.Yuvasai Priya I – BBA, performed well as the masters of ceremony. Mr.J.Jenith III BBA (Shipping & Logistics) has delivered the welcome address during the valedictory session. Mr.V.Mohnish II BBA has presented the report of conference. Ms.K.Abirami & Dr.P.Jeyalakshmi, Assistant Professors handsomely coordinated the entire master of ceremony and events. Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Dr. M. Palaniappan, Assistant Professor.
