International Chess Day Celebrations – Chess Club

Inter-departmental Chess Competitions were organised by the Kamaraj College Chess Club in Kamaraj College, as a part of the celebrations of International chess day.The participants practiced for the event for two days(16th and 17th July).The competitions were conducted on 19th and 20th July 2023. The prize distribution was held on International Chess day (20th July). Mr. V. V. D. Senthil Kannan, Vice President, TDCA, was the chief guest of the function. The Valedictory function had the backing up of all the HODs, both Aided and Unaided and all the chess participants from various departments. Economics department and Chemistry department from the aided stream emerged as the Winner and Runner respectively in the Men Category.Chemistry department from Aided stream and Computer science department from unaided stream emerged as Winner and Runner respectively in the Women category. Top 5 teams in both Men and women category were honoured with prizes and certificates by the chief guest. The glimpses of this event is presented by the players of Kamaraj chess Club.
