His inspiring presence and words of encouragement uplifted the spirits of all participants.
The event saw active support and presence from all chess participants representing various departments, showcasing the true spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie. In the Men’s Category, the Economics Department (Aided) emerged as the Winners, while the Computer Science Department (Aided) secured the position of Runners-up. In the Women’s Category, the Commerce Department (Unaided) claimed the Winner’s title, followed by the Chemistry Department (Unaided) as Runners-up.
As a mark of appreciation and recognition, the Top 15 players from both Men and Women categories were honoured with prizes and certificates, presented by the Chief Guest. Their consistent efforts and performances were applauded by the faculty and fellow students alike.
This memorable event was made possible by the strong support and coordination of the Principal, Heads of Departments, and faculty coordinators, whose efforts ensured the smooth execution of the competitions. The Kamaraj College Chess Club also took pride in presenting event highlights and glimpses, captured and compiled by its very own student players, celebrating not just the winners, but the spirit of chess itself.
