International Chess Day: 10 Powerful Winners Honoured at Valedictory
Introduction
The International Chess Day Celebrations were successfully organized by the Chess Club of Kamaraj College (Autonomous), Thoothukudi. As part of the celebration, an Inter-Departmental Chess Tournament was conducted on 16 July 2026.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 181 students, including 112 boys and 69 girls, representing both the Aided and Unaided streams of the college. The Prize Distribution and Valedictory Ceremony was held on 29 July 2026 to honour the winners and top performers.

Women’s Category Winners
In the Women’s Category, the Department of Computer Science (Unaided) won the Championship.

The Top 17 players in the Men’s Category and the Top 12 players in the Women’s Category were honoured with prizes and certificates.
