On September 12, 2024, the Research Department of Computer Science has organised an internal Hackathon as a part of Smart India Hackathon 2024 conducted for students by Government of India. Around 20 teams from Department of Computer Science and Department of Computer Applications (Faceprep) have submitted their innovative hardware/ software solutions in the form of PPT for handling societal issues. The teams were evaluated by Dr. S. Vijayalakshmi, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Dr. K. Arun Prasath Lingam, Assistant Professor of Chemistry and selected best 5 teams based on the novelty and ideas for SIH registration. The arrangements were made by the Students along with the staff members of the department of Computer Science (Aided). Around 150 students of Computer Science and Computer Applications have actively participated and got motivated to do more Innovative developments by this Hackathon.
