Inter School Competition – Dept. of English

On 23rd October 2024, the PG and Research Department of English (SF), Phoenix Literary Association organized Phoenixian – an Inter School Competition. A total of 150 Students from 15 schools participated in it. SDR School, Kamak Matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Bharat Rathna Kamarajar Matric Higher Secondary School, Cadwell Higher Secondary School, Holy Cross Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Spic Nagar Higher Secondary School, Kshatriya Vidhyasala Matric Hr. Sec School, Alagar Public School, AMM Sinnamani Nadar High School, St. Lasalle Hr. Sec. School, St. Francis Xavier Hr. Sec. School, CM Hr. Sec. School, St. Thomas Hr. Sec. School, and X’AN Matriculation Hr. Sec. School were the schools which participated. The event aimed to encourage the students to think out of box, exhibited their talents and enabled the school students to explore the infrastructure, resources and teaching ambience of the department. The competitions conducted were Group Dance, Book Parade, Poem Recitation, Pencil Art, Spell Bee, Collage Making, lmpromptu and Quiz. The Phoenixian empowered the students of the department to gain apprehension in organizing events. SDR School and Alagar Public School postioned themselves as the over all winners and runners respectively.
