The Department of Business Administration, Kamaraj College successfully organised a one day Industrial visit to V. O. Chidambaram Port, Thoothukudi on 25.06.2024.
Dr. R. Karuppasamy (Head of the Department) accompanied with 23 students from III BBA – Shipping and Logistics visited the Port. The students visited various places like
1. Information Centre
2. Breakbulk Terminal
3. Transit Shed
4. Loading and Unloading of Cargo
They also watched a short video about the development and the operation of the port. Finally they got permission to enter inside a merchant ship.
Students had a great experience on visiting the port. They gained the practical knowledge of port’s operation.
