Industrial Visit: Munnar – Microbiology Dept.

The Department of Microbiology organized a Industrial visit for the Undergraduate students to Munnar on 19/03/2024 and 20/03/2024. A total number of 48 students accompanied by 3 staff started the journey and reached Munnar on 19/03/2024. After breakfast, we proceeded to Elephant park and Mattupatty dam. After lunch, we visited the tea factory to know about the processing of tea leaves, fermentation process, packaging, flavor testing, etc. On the Second day, we visited Wonderla Amusement Park in Cochin and by the evening we winded up to Tuticorin. We reached our College by morning hours on 21/03/2024. The industrial visit gave an opportunity for the students to explore various avenues in tea processing units.
